Customers
Capptro includes a built-in customer database to manage your clients and their contact information. Customers are linked to work items so you can track all jobs associated with each client.
Viewing Customers
Access the customer list by clicking the Customers tab on the dashboard. The customer list shows:
- Customer name
- Account number
- Phone number
- Email address
Adding a Customer
- Click the Customers tab on the dashboard
- Click Add Customer
- Fill in the customer details:
- Customer Name: The company or individual name
- Account: An optional account number or reference
- Phone: Primary phone number
- Alt Phone: Alternative phone number
- Email: Email address
- Click Save
Customer Contacts
Each customer can have multiple contact people. This is useful when a company has different people handling different jobs.
Adding a Contact
- Open a customer's detail view
- Click Add Contact
- Enter the contact details:
- Title: Mr, Mrs, Ms, Dr, etc.
- First Name and Last Name
- Phone: Direct phone number
- Email: Direct email address
- Primary Contact: Mark as the default contact for this customer
- Click Save
When creating a work item, you can select the customer and then choose a specific contact from the Customer Contact dropdown.
Editing a Customer
- Click on a customer in the customer list
- Click Edit
- Update the details as needed
- Click Save
Deleting a Customer
- Click on a customer in the customer list
- Click Delete
- Confirm the deletion
Default Customer
You can mark one customer as the Default Customer. This customer will be pre-selected when creating new work items, saving time if most of your jobs are for the same client.
Duplicate Prevention
When adding a new customer, Capptro checks if a customer with the same name already exists and warns you to prevent duplicate entries.
