Getting Started with Capptro
Welcome to the Capptro documentation! This guide will help you get up and running with Capptro, a powerful job management solution available as both a cloud service and a self-hosted application.
What is Capptro?
Capptro is a web-based application designed for any business that manages jobs, work orders, or service requests. With 16 industry-specific business templates, Capptro adapts to your workflow — whether you run a print shop, auto workshop, IT service desk, catering company, or any other job-based operation. Capptro helps you:
- Track work items from creation to completion with customizable workflow steps
- Manage customer information and contacts
- Define industry-specific fields with the dynamic features system

Quick Start — Cloud
- Sign Up — Visit portal.capptro.com and create an account
- Choose a Business Template — Select the industry that matches your business
- Start Using — Add customers, create work items, and manage your workflow
Quick Start — Self-Hosted
- Purchase a License — Visit our pricing page to choose a plan
- Download Software — Log in to the customer portal, go to Downloads and download the ZIP file
- Get Your License File — Go to My Licenses and click "Download license.json"
- Install — Upload to your server and run the installation wizard
- Configure — Choose a business template or set up your own workflow steps and features
- Start Using — Add customers and create your first work item
System Requirements (Self-Hosted Only)
Before installing Capptro on your own server, ensure it meets these requirements:
- PHP: Version 8.0 or higher
- MySQL: Version 5.7 or higher (or MariaDB 10.3+)
- Web Server: Apache or Nginx with mod_rewrite
- PHP Extensions: MySQLi, cURL, JSON, Session, PDO
- Disk Space: At least 100MB free space
Cloud users don't need to worry about server requirements — everything is managed for you.
Editions
Capptro comes in two editions, available on both Cloud and Self-Hosted:
- Standard Edition: Core job management — work items, customers, workflow steps, priorities, job cards, archive, and dashboard analytics.
- Pro Edition: Everything in Standard plus file uploads, audit trail, employee management, advanced reports with exports, and custom workflow rules.
